VIP Business Travel is a family owned private hire and chauffeuring company. The sole proprietor is Sarah. She is a member of the Federation of Small Businesses. She has had over 20 years experience as a manager in the banking industry. She holds senior positions with local community and charity organisations. Nick holds professional training qualifications. He has had over 20 years experience working in the public sector. He is a team manager. He has worked and studied abroad. He is also involved with local charities. Together they run VIP Business Travel.

  • Professionally qualified drivers

The VIP Business Travel chauffeurs are our ambassadors for the excellent reputation and high professional standing of our company. They are our most important asset. All VIP Business Travel chauffeurs hold full UK driving licences, are licensed to drive private hire vehicles, and have all passed the CRB vetting procedure. This is the common minimum standard for the private hire industry. In addition, VIP Business Travel chauffeurs have either completed the ROSPA or the Advanced Institute of Motorists’ driving course and are First Aid qualified. All VIP Business Travel chauffeurs are personally selected for their maturity, refinement and quintessential English character, including of course impeccable good manners. All VIP Business Travel chauffeurs are correctly attired in either an unobtrusive dark colour suit with a collar and tie for gentlemen, or a suitable dark colour suit for lady drivers. Having held positions in either the public sector or in private industry, VIP Business Travel chauffeurs have a genuine sense of customer focus. Our drivers will get the passenger to their destination, on time, and with seemingly effortless professionalism, using the initiative and calm self- assured problem solving ability, which is a required competency in the selection of VIP Business Travel chauffeurs.  

  • Our fleet

Most of our vehicles are either brand new or in their first 18 months of manufacturer’s warranty. No vehicle in the VIP Business Travel fleet is more than 4 years old. All of our vehicles are presented at the beginning of the journey as showroom clean and in immaculate condition.
 
VIP Business Travel is currently trialling Peugeot 307 90SE SW’s, in executive metallic silver colour, with the latest generation of lighter alloy, cleaner engines. These top of the range, high specification, 16 valve, computer controlled turbo diesel injected vehicles meet our requirements for safety, economy, the environment, elegance and comfort. For passenger safety the vehicles have a total of 6 front, side and curtain airbags and anti-lock braking systems. To aid our driver to get you smartly and efficiently to your destination, all of our vehicles are fitted with the manufacturer’s own hands free communication and satellite navigation systems. With generous leg room in the passenger compartment, and over 2m² of concealed storage space in the boot, passengers can comfortably stretch out and relax on the longer journeys.

 

The vehicles have a unique 1.4m² panoramic sunroof extending right back over the rear seats, giving a travelling experience of all round space and light. For total passenger comfort, our vehicles have climate control, 6 speaker audio systems, wrap around modular seats and airline-style fold away tables. VIP Business Travel can provide larger people carriers, VW mini buses or any size of coach according to customer requirements.

Where on occasions of high demand, VIP Business Travel have to contract in other vehicles and drivers, we only source from reputable companies who are personally known to us, and who we know will provide vehicles, drivers and business practices comparable to our own very high standards.

  • Our responsibility towards the environment

Carbon fuel based travel is having a damaging effect upon the environment. VIP Business Travel recognises this fact. We also know that business travel is essential. As a responsibly run family business we seek to minimise the effect that running a business has on the environment, whilst making good the inevitable carbon footprint created by running a fleet of vehicles 24 hours a day through 365 days of the year. These are the working practices that we have adopted:

  • Vehicle choice:

We use vehicles with more efficient engines that run on cleaner fuels. We are presently researching the use of bio-diesel fuels in our vehicles.

  • Plant a tree:

We have calculated that each of our vehicles emits 215g of CO₂ per mile. We record the annual road mileage accrued by your company using VIP Business Travel. For every 1,000 miles travelled with us, VIP Business Travel funds the planting of native broad-leaved trees in managed woodlands. It is estimated that each tree over its lifetime will absorb back 730Kg of CO₂. VIP Business Travel arranges for your company to receive a personalised certificate, signed by a well known TV personality and conservationist, for each tree planted, as an acknowledgement that in choosing VIP Business Travel, you are opting to minimise the impact that your travelling has on the environment.  

  • Energy conservation office practices:

We use energy saving electrical equipment. We adopt ‘think before you ink’ printing practices. Internal paperwork is printed on paper using our own recycled office paper. Paper which cannot be further printed on is shredded and recycled. We reserve printing and posting our invoices to 12 invoices per customer, per  year, rather than an invoice per order, unless otherwise requested by the customer.
